Volunteering, skills workshops & paid internships opportunities for AT…
37 of our current year 12’s and 4 current year 13’s took part in the National Citizen Services’, ‘The Challenge’ programme last summer.
All 41 of you now have the opportunity to apply for the ‘Headstart’ programme.
Stage one: Voluntary placement
First and foremost, ‘Headstart’ will help you secure a voluntary placement, great for your CV, UCAS, apprenticeship and employment applications.
Stage two: Interview skills workshops
‘Headstart’ participants will have access to professional skills workshops in communication skills, interview techniques, customer service, and a range of other employment-related skills delivered by leading communications agency, AGL.
Stage three: Guaranteed interview for a paid position
Once you have successfully completed 16 hours of volunteering, you can choose an interview for a guaranteed paid, part-time, school holiday or internship opportunity with one of the following ‘Headstart’ corporate partners; Starbucks, New Look, Lloyds, Zendesk, Berkeley Group, Bloomberg and the GLA.
Each paid post will help you to develop a great set of skills to transfer into any future career you look to pursue, or potentially enable you to secure permanent employment with one of these partners.
If you completed NCS, ‘The Challenge’ last summer you will have received an e-mail on Saturday 1st October giving you a personal username and password, enabling you to log in and apply through the website www.headstart-thechallenge.org
