Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit Needs AT sixth formers to be a young leaders to 10 – 14 year olds …
… to help Inspire, Challenge and Engage them in adventurous activities (plus have a go yourself).
Sutton Coldfield Adventure Unit is a charitable youth group for 7-18 year olds, set up in 2013.
Over 200 youngsters and 40 adults attend the unit.
The Unit was set up to give youngsters access to a wide range of adventurous activities including Archery, Air rifle shooting, Survival skills, First Aid, Orienteering, Self defence etc…
SCAU offers sixth form leaders a range of opportunities to help you to stand out from the crowd at interview for university, apprenticeships and employment.
You will receive British Heart Foundation, ‘Heart Start’ instructor training to become instructors to deliver the programme to younger members of the unit.
You will undertake Child Protection Training and commit to raising issues with the DSP.
To become a SCAU sixth form volunteer you will need to:
Commit to attending the unit every Friday between, 7.45-9.15pm.
Wear the SCAU Young Leader uniform so you are easily identifiable as members of the leadership team.
Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Adhere to policies of SCAU.
